• 5 star dining at 2 star prices. Magnificent food on a par with any Mitchelin restaurant. We had 2 meals for just £11.95. Fantastic food, Atmosphere and value.

• Typical village pub. We went for an anniversary meal. Table in the front room, no other diners, slight but noticeable "foisty" smell. Food ok, wife's steak correctly cooked but only half was eatable. Staff rather "off-hand". We reckon we were overcharged by about £2. Will not be going back

• Three Cask ales, always well kept. Curry night Wed - Curry and a Pint for £4.95! Thurs is grill night - 8oz rump and a pint £5.95!! Unbleivable value for money (09/08/2012). Pub is spotlessly clean and homely, hosts are welcoming and friendly and the srvice is second to none. Recommended. Oh yes.
