• Appalling customer care - Last month my family and I decided to celebrate Mother’s Day with a meal at this restaurant. When I presented my Mastercard for payment I was told that it had been declined. On returning home I rang my card operator about the card being declined and they informed me that no request for payment had reached them that evening. ( This was subsequently confirmed in writing). I rang the manager at the British Raj to inform him of this and that there must be a problem with his card reader and he was very rude and aggressive, simply stating that there was no problem at his end and that could only be “my problem”. I subsequently wrote to the manager giving full details of what had occurred, what MasterCard had said and asked for an apology, I received no reply. It is difficult to understand such an appalling lack of care towards customers and if you want to avoid the embarrassment followed by aggression that I experienced I suggest you go elsewhere.
