• A few weeks ago I visited this pub with my 14 year old grandchildren (2) for lunch.I ordered 3 lunch meals and two drinks, since my grandson was carrying a half used bottle of juice and elected to finish this. The order was taken by the lady of the house in a not too friendly manner. We enjoyed the meals, they were very nice. On leaving the table the lady of the house pointed to the empty bottle of juice and asked us in a not too pleasant manner to "take your rubbish with you". I asked my grandson to get the bottle. We then all visited the facilities, and apparently my grandson put the empty bottle in the bin as anybody would do. While we were making our way out, a young man sitting at the bar went into the toilets and returned with the empty bottle and very agressively thrust the bottle into the chest of my grandson and said take your rubbish with you. I was so take aback at the agression shown I didn't say anything and we left. WHAT AN EXAMPLE TO SHOW A FOURTEEN YEAR OLD WHO NEVER SPOKE A WORD, AND WHAT A WAY TO GET CUSTOMERS. NO WONDER THE PUB HAD ONLY ONE OTHER PERSON THERE. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GO THERE, NEITHER WILL THE REST OF THE FAMILY. WE ARE QUITE LOCAL TO THE PUB AND WE HAVE TOLD EVERYBODY WE KNOW.
