  • 5 star reviewHaving wanted to write my personal review about the Brewers I have come across the big red directory. I find it hard to believe some of the comments on here I suggest that the site should have to verify peoples comments, like Mr Withers he is having a laugh!! Probably someone with a bee in their bonnet, probably someone who has never eaten in the Brewers. And, since when has the food gone down hill? Really? Because if my Sunday roast last week was "down hill" then i dont know what i would have done with an "uphill" one- The Sunday roast was one of, if not the BEST ive ever eaten. The other night also I had the seared salmon with herb and black pepper crushed potatoes with a saffron leek and prawn cream sauce, it was divine. Lovely food lovely service.

  • 5 star reviewJust because people are young and a little loud doesnt make them louts. The food is still 1st class and the landlord is very strict about bad behaviour. If Mr Withers thought him rude perhaps he should have told him and not written on here

  • 5 star reviewThe one star reviewer calling themselves "disappointed" must like eating food like "tescos frozen sticky toffee pudding".Probably a Macdonalds fan. My guess is that this person has either not eaten at the Brewers or is something to do with the Rosebud. Tesco sticky toffee pudding comes in round tubs, the Brewers is square. If the Rosebuds roast is "equally tasty" why say you would not go to the Brewers again. Something smells fishy. I have eaten at both establishments and the Brewers food in general is far superior to the Rosebuds especially the roast. As for the comment about the landlord, I find him very congenial and friendly.

  • 5 star reviewthe sticky toffee pudding is 100 % homemade, chefs own recipe, anybody wanting to come to the brewers and watch Mark make the sticky toffee pudding , feel free, obviously some jealous idiot from the rose bud as written that review, and how can such derogatory and insulting things be allowed to be put as a review when the review is clearly made up, disgusted that this can placed on here, and placed by childish jealous people, pathetic

  • 1 star reviewThe sticky toffee puddig is a microwave one from tesco's and at £4.95 it is expensive. Would not eat here again when you can get an equally tasty 3 course sunday lunch up the road at the rosebud for £10.00 The landlord is obnoxious and rude

  • 5 star reviewWent here for a sunday lunch with my husband, two children and mother inlaw! I can honestly honestly say this was the best roast dinner I have ever eaten, truly. The pork was so tender, the 7 fresh vegetables were cooked to perfection, lovely roast pots, the gravy so tasty, the yorkshire pudding a whopper!!!let me not forget the crackling-so light and crispy!!For only 7.95, well done to the chef from cornwall, a perfect sunday lunch. My husband had the chef's famous sticky toffee puddding, well lets just say it sure is famous!!
