• Terrible. Angelas taxi services based in Oxford is by far the worst service I have ever received from a company. I would definitely not recommend them. When I originally made the booking over the phone on 23rd April 2014, Angela was incredibly bad tempered and snappy on the phone. However, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, assumed she was having a bad day and immediately emailed her the details of the booking including the price we had discussed. We were booking a bus for 28th June for 25 people taking us from a large house outside of Oxford and returning at 2am. She quoted us £200 for the return journey. Angela replied confirming the price and the booking and gave me the drivers name and number. I asked if I needed to pay now and she told me I could pay the driver the cash on the night. On Thursday 26th June I called up Angela to confirm the booking. She was incredibly snappy and barked at me down the phone – as if I was asking something incredibly unreasonable – and told me ‘of course your booking is confirmed’ and slammed the phone down on me. I was pretty angry that she was so rude but I was incredibly polite to her in response. On the night, the driver was supposed to arrive at 9.30pm. By 9.45pm he has still not arrived. I called him and he did not have any of my details and was just about to pick up another group. He suggested I called the main office. I called the office and spoke to Angela. She again snapped down the phone at me and told me that she would sort it out. I asked if she would be able to provide a replacement bus and she repeated that she would ‘sort it out’ and said that she would send someone soon. I explained that we needed to be somewhere (we had a booking at a club for my friends hen do and we needed to be in before a certain time in order to not have to repay for entry) and asked if I could have a more specific time. She snapped down that phone that she said she would send someone soon – probably within 15 minutes – and she hung up on me. The bus arrived after 20 minutes. I had the cash to pay the driver but was locking up the house. The driver wouldn’t let anyone even get on the bus before I handed over the cash. I went to speak to him and he explained that he wasn’t from Angela’s Taxi’s and he didn’t know who would be picking us up from Oxford. I said I would give him half the money – so £100 – for the outward journey and then pay the remaining £100 to whoever picked us up. He said that was fine. Then Angela called him and he said that she wouldn’t send anyone to pick us up unless I paid a deposit. I asked to speak to Angela. Angela (again!) barked down the phone at me and said that she wasn’t willing to help or send a bus to pick us up unless I paid a deposit – either to her or to the new driver. I explained (incredibly polity and incredibly calmly - which is impressive given how furious I was by this point!) that the bus we were in was not her company, it was 45 minutes late, and I had specifically asked if I could pay a deposit back in April and she said no. She literally shouted at me down the phone and told me that if I didn’t pay then she wouldn’t help. I (again, calmly) explained that I had handed over £100 with no question to the driver and had the rest of the money with me but was not willing to pay a deposit on the night given how late the booking was and how I had offered to pay before. She again shouted down the phone at me about wanting a deposit and then hung up on me. The driver said that Angela was always a bit stroppy but that he could take the deposit. I asked how that would work as he had said that he worked in a separate company to Angela and was just ‘doing her a favour.’ I asked if he could give us a receipt and he said ‘he could write it on a bit of paper.’ Based on this incredibly poor customer service we booked 3 cabs to pick us up and drive us home. I have never been spoken to so badly by someone in customer service before. I was completely shocked and horrified that someone can be that rude so consistently. I am not the kind of person who usually bothers to write reviews but this was so incredibly bad that I really felt the need to share this with people. For Angela’s information – I very much hope you read this and I am going to post this on a many review sites as possible.

• Terrible ! The driver was incredibly rude to me, complained about having to drive me around after taking forever to show up , don't use this taxi firm if your in Witney there are better ones

• Worst service ever. Booked an eight seater taxi three weeks in advance of a wedding I was on, Even confirmed that morning but at midnight (collection time). No taxi appeared. Called the number... No answer. We aren't local to Witney but we had to walk around late at night to find a taxi to take us home. Wouldn't recommend.

• This is a wonderful Taxi Firm,particularly safe, with older persons,like my late uncle they even accompanied him to the police station ,as my uncle wanted a kind person to witness his complaint that someone was taking his property from him,and this someone did,the police were next to useless,so too were the JRHospital, but another person,a kind,of the OLdSwan landlord was concerned too about my vulnerable uncle.We need more kind taxi drivers to help out older vulnerable persons with dementia,there are scoundrels out there,well done Angela's,you are all that a local taxi firm should be. • A big thank you to all those concerned @ Angelas Taxis. I feel that I must thank Angelas for the service provided on the occasion of my son's wedding on Saturday 25 August. I ordered two taxis to be collected from the Bird in Hand Witney and a further taxi at midnight from The Village Hall, Great Barrington. All taxis arrived promptly and none of the drivers minded the waiting on our part. All the drivers were extremely friendly. We even learned a lot about photographing wildlife! The fares were exactly as agreed. A great big thanks to everyone. Highly recommended. Mike Watts

• If your looking for a reliable firm Do not use !! Rude man answered my call Friday 3rd August 2011 to book a taxi at 5:45pm , my taxi did not turn up and when I called they did send one out then however used them today as we could not use a local firm as they were booked and the man hung up on us first time around and asked why we didn't use a local firm as it would cost £25 which we were willing to pay !! Ordered taxi for 10 am after being spoken to rudely and they were 35 minutes late even the taxi driver stated why didn't we use a local firm !! Extremely rude and will not be using again , will prefer to use botts taxi or liveys of Witney! A shame as we needed a taxi firm to take us to gatwick soon and was considering using Angela's !! No way now!!
