  • 5 star reviewGreat pint here, friendly bar staff and cracking food. I'm lucky to live local and I pop in 3 nights a week to pick up a Steak pie takeaway, best in town!

  • 5 star review I eat here fairly regular and it has been consistently good every time I have come. We popped in the weekend and it was really busy but it wasn't long before our meal arrived. All the Food, and wines are really good value. I opted for the fresh oven steamed skate and it was cooked just as well and half the price of a popular fish restaurant locally. My wife had sirloin in pepper sauce which is also less than half price and as good all the side dishes come in the price so theres no hidden extras to pay for. We aren't rushed out of here either. Good atmosphere here also

  • 5 star reviewGreat place to eat, so reasonably priced and meals are all home cooked. The pies are delicious and the home made jam sponge pudding is to die for! I've been going here for many years and never had a bad meal. They also do home made lemonade which is healthy and refreshing

  • 5 star reviewSuper pub just on the outskirts of Brentwood Always had a good meal in here and the bar staff are really friendly and always remember my drinks , We always get served really quickly and the food always comes up piping hot and plenty of it. My wife loves the home made steak pie and its only £7.95 I normally have the Chicken Vindaloo which is always tasty It's so cheap to eat here so we normally visit twice a week .Try it I promise you won't be disappointed

  • 5 star reviewI had a Christmas dinner on Christmas day in this quaint pub near Brentwood , It was my first time here as I was being treated by my brother. I was very impressed at how well run this place is and the food is so beautifully cooked, fresh and well presented. We were a party of 8 and were looked after extremely well by the young friendly waitress .The normal menu which is available 7 days is so cheap so I will be using this place regularly now, They do a date pudding which is simply gorgeous and my husband had home made apple pie which was made with fresh apples and not overladen with sugar as with most places.

  • 5 star reviewI had a smashing Christmas meal here today with a group of friends. The pub is warm and welcoming, and the food was exceptional for the price. I will definitely be using this little gem more frequently.
