• Whilst visiting the New Forest on a family holiday we had a unsettling experience when stopping outside Aivly superstore to ask a lady for directions. We were on hired mountain bikes on a cycle ride from Burley when we stopped to ask for directions. After she had explained the way back to Burley we were congregating at the side of the road to stop the children being in the road behind some parked cars. A member of staff from Aivly pulled up beside us in a lime green car and told us we were on private property for customers only and we needed to move. We tried to explain that we were just finding our bearings and not blocking any parking spaces. He continued to remonstrate then parked his car and came at us in person. I find this not only threatening but also dangerous as we were trying to move out of the road. I’ve always found the New Forest a welcoming and very friendly place. If this is how Aivly treat their customers I can only feel sorry for them.
