• Insured with abbeygate for past three years - every year your policy doubles in price. Second year it took 9 months to receive a certificate of insurance as they just kept handing over cover notes - in the end I got one after threatening legal action......and it was a copy of the vehicle we had in the first year we had insurance with them. So they had either lost, disregarded, or not insured us for the previous 9 months as they had no idea of vehicle change. This is a well known industry scam with low risk customers who have their money taken, but never receive the insurance. The fact that it doubles every year without explanation when you have never claimed also says that it is a rip off! £300 in the first year - £1290 year 3!
