• Not impressed with the new management, tried to make it more 'up market' int the restaurant. The prices do not reflect the atmosphere,with foul language and vulgar noises clearly heard from the public bar.we had a window seat, where there was a dirty tissue stuffed on t of a radiator and the windowsill filthy with plants that had seen better days.

• We have used the pub almost once a week for several years The beer and food are excellent. The staff always friendly and helpful.Have never had cause to ever complain

• Miserable, unfriendly and arrogant barmaid. Could not even manage a welcoming smile. I was with my family and purchased four drinks. The barmaid had no manners whatsoever. Don't know where she studied her customer skills, can only presume it was at The College for Miserable Barstaff. Such a shame that the manager can't employ people with experience and a friendly attitutde. Won't be going there again.

• I have been to The Ship Inn at Great Holland on several occassions and have found the food to be excellent, staff pleasant and obliging and have recommended this to my friends,to which several have already and made the same comments

• I went to this pub when visiting relatives in the area. Unfortunately I found the attitude of the female bar person and the cook/owner towards the customers (not only me) to be very rude and arrogant. I’ve since heard this comment from others - I’m just glad it’s not my local!

• Lovely food, really impressed and have been back several times. Disappointed with the general attitude of landlady when trying to book a meal which is a shame.
