Often go to Harpers at Wetwang from our home in Lincolnshire for some really delicious fish and chips. Just been to Rick Stein in Padstow for the same. They didn't compare at all.absolutely beautiful fish and chips...best i have tasted in a long while....You will have to go a long way to find finer fish and chips. Indeed, you may not be able to. The chips are always crisp and delicious and the fish is meaty and tasty, coated in delicious light, crispy batter. Portions are very large; light eaters beware.
The only other shop I have visited that comes near Harpers of Wetwang (but does not quite equal it) is The Magpie at Whitby.
